SPLATTER!!

Last night I was just playing around making some watercolor backgrounds and today did something with them.
For the first card I just stamped on top of the dry background and then painted in the flowers and leaves with watered down distress ink.  For the second card, I felt the background was too vibrant for my taste, so adhered a piece of polka dot vellum on top to soften the colors.  Added the die cut leaf (also watercolored) and a few "raindrops" - done and dusted.

I am entering these in CASology's "splatter" challenge, Simon Says Stamp "watercolor" challenge, and TIMEOUT challenge which is "autumn leaves".  The latter challenge used a card by Heather Telford as inspiration - she does such gorgeous watercoloring.  My dabbles couldn't ever compare, but it's fun to try.

Supplies: Hero Arts leaf stamp; Cheery Lynn leaf die;  Penny Black "Softly" stamp; Distress inks - wild honey, dried marigold, seedless preserves, peeled paint, tumbled glass, spun sugar, squeezed lemonade; EZ Runner vellum tape

Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments.  Betty
